We’re back! But for how long is anyone’s guess. This week I saw “Paranormal Activity”. Instead of writing about it, I decided to bring an element of Web 2.0 to BadMovieBlog.com and do a video review.
How exciting! How contemporary! How lacking in originality!

Thank You, bro… I thought that movie was terrible. It bored the hell out of me. It is truly a supremely overrated movie.
Movies that get a lot of hype like this one are tough because if you wait to see it nothing can really stand up to the buzz surrounding it. I didn’t think it was horrible but the ending left much to be desired for me.

Pretty good review, Leigh. I haven’t seen the movie yet, and probably won’t until it’s on DVD. The video review was OK. I like your written reviews better because they go into much more detail. But I also think that as you get more experienced with the video reviews, you’ll become more comfortable with them. I’d like to see some more of the presence you’ve got in your stand-up gigs in these reviews. Hard, I know, because stand-up relies so much on audience response, and you don’t get that in front of a webcam. But some of the ease & comfort that you have on stage will come through more. Good step, Leigh.
Thank you! Totally agree. Even though did cause me to sleep with the lights on for awhile ( do to overactive imagination) the story itself was dumb… Seriously, I would have left the house after the first encounter. Not sleep in the same bed with the door wide open… Silly people grrr
I think you have to WANT to be scared to enjoy this movie. If you were looking at it skeptically, you’d see that repeated shot of the couple’s bed and probably feel bored. For me, every time the movie would return to that shot of the couple’s bed, I would start to get anxious, because I KNEW something bad was about to happen.
However, we have to agree, it IS more like Paranormal Wanktivity.
